At Lakemoor we strive to take better care of our planet, stocking local products, and connecting guests with local suppliers.
Our structures are built from environmentally sound and/or recycled materials (wherever possible), the Lakeside Cabins are off grid and Riverside Meadow is semi-wild, with only a composting toilet and firebowls.
We’ve planted 500 trees for a camping woodland, through a grant from the Woodland Trust.
The following information is from Lakemoor’s previous owner, and is to show you what we currently have on site, we plan to expand the site around this. We will update with new pictures and information as we have it.
Our partners at the fabulous Eggesford Crossing Cafe can bring you:
AM – breakfast butties and hot drinks
PM – wood-fired pizzas
Delivered, more details on their site, book a table or eat out in our great setting.
We take recycling very seriously, with labelled bins and containers for you to sort your rubbish into, please sort your own waste or take it home with you.
Bins full of plastic are unsightly, a magnet for wasps, and terrible for the planet.
We are seriously reducing the plastic produced at Lakemoor, please help us in our quest by bringing less plastic packaged food, or buying local produce from our partners below.
Tasty, healthy and fully tested water drawn through ancient aquifers, refill your containers, no need for bottled water.
Find us on the Refill app, to find free drinking water on the go.
Before filling the car at home, consider trying some great quality local produce:
We also have local firewood for your campfire.
Order organic meat & vegetables from our friends at Higher Hacknell Farm, who will deliver in time for your arrival, without all the plastic packaging.
For supplies, local produce, wholefoods, planet conscious gifts and great home baked cakes including a killer vegan chocolate cake, visit or message Church Street Stores.
